Our voluntary returns policy operates alongside, and does not replace, your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
30-day voluntary return policy
For most eligible goods, you may request a return within 30 days after delivery. The item should be unused beyond the handling reasonably necessary to inspect it, complete, and returned with its original accessories and packaging where reasonably possible.
14-day statutory cancellation right
For most online purchases, you may notify us that you are cancelling from the time the order is placed until 14 days after the day the goods are delivered. You do not need to give a reason. After notifying us, return the goods without undue delay and no later than 14 days after cancellation.
How to request a return or cancellation
- Email contact@smartfindshome.co.uk with your name, order number, the item concerned and whether you are cancelling, returning or reporting a fault.
- Wait for written return instructions and confirmation of the correct return route.
- Use a tracked service and keep proof of postage.
Return address
Unit 4, Heathrow International Trading Estate, Green Lane, Hounslow, London, TW4 6HB, United Kingdom
Do not send a parcel to the registered office or to a supplier address unless we have confirmed that address in writing for your return.
Return postage
For a change-of-mind return, you are responsible for the approved return postage. We cover reasonable return costs where the item is faulty, damaged, not as described or incorrectly supplied.
Refunds after cancellation
Where the statutory cancellation right applies, we refund the price paid and the cost of the least expensive standard delivery option we offered. We do not have to refund the additional cost of a premium delivery option you selected. We may wait until we receive the goods or evidence that you sent them back, whichever occurs first. The refund will be made without undue delay and normally within 14 days, using the original payment method unless you agree otherwise.
Diminished value
We may reduce a change-of-mind refund where handling has gone beyond what would reasonably be permitted in a physical shop and has reduced the value of the goods.
Faulty, damaged, unsafe or incorrect goods
Goods must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. If an item is faulty, damaged, unsafe, not as described or incorrectly supplied, contact us promptly with photographs where useful. UK consumers may have a short-term right to reject faulty goods within 30 days and further rights to repair, replacement, price reduction or refund depending on the circumstances.
Items that may be excluded from change-of-mind cancellation
Legal exceptions can include personalised or made-to-order goods, rapidly perishable goods, sealed hygiene-sensitive goods after the seal is broken, and sealed audio, video or software after unsealing. Any relevant exception will be disclosed before purchase. Faulty-goods rights are not removed by these exceptions.
Exchanges
We do not guarantee a direct exchange. Where appropriate, we may ask you to return the original item and place a new order.
Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits rights that cannot legally be excluded.
